I'm from Missouri, I've got about a 3.7 GPA and a 33 ACT. Two varsity sports, captain for one, member of national honor society and principal's advisory committee. 6 AP classes, 6 Honors. Any chance of getting a regents?

Regents? No. Admissions? Prob yes

Probably not Regents if that is your UC gpa (if you drop freshman year and add up to 8 points for APs, but leave out courses like PE does it go significantly higher?). If you were to get regents you should get it soon, they are being delivered this week (and last week, at the end of it).

Probably. Your extra curriculars could use A LOT of improvement.

In what areas are my ECs lacking exactly? @buster18

I think you are right on the bubble @BrownDynamite14 I think you have a good chance, but you can look for yourself here: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/campuses/files/freshman-profiles-ca/freshman-profile-ca-ucsb.pdf

thanks for your help @collegevetting I thought I had no shot of getting in when I was looking at everyone else’s stats.

@BrownDynomite14 my concern is that you picked an unusually difficult major to get into. I would be more confident of admission than I would be of the major.

It won’t be long now before we all find out! Good luck!
