4. UC BERK, UCLA, USC
5. NYU STERN (Interested in business & medicine- want to combine these two for career)
6. UPENN

Have a GPA for me? I can’t really tell but I think your grades will hurt you a bit. Your summer programs+ECs are pretty good. I think 2-5 are matches/low reaches. HYPS is pretty much a reach for everyone. Again, I think your grades will hurt unless you have 3.8-3.9+ unweighted

GPA weighted is 94

I agree with Silktiger. Your grades are a tad low for these schools, but your EC’s and test scores make up for it. Do you know if you want to go into an engineering field or not?

A lot of my grades are low bc of the rigor of my school (out of the 32 kids in my class- I would say I’m about the middle)
@Lancemurphy96 – I have considered it (and I am starting an engineering program at my school)

I think you have a decent shot at HYPS. This year HYP each accepts 2 students from my high school, which is exceptional considering the fact that they don’t have really outstanding stats (22xx SATs, okay GPA, etc.) The deciding factor now lies in your essay.

Alright, I’m going to focus on really getting solid grades sr year
also I attend a free yr round program at an ivy league for STEM if that helps lol
& I’ve been thinking about my essay a lot- my school offers a lot of resources for college essays so hopefully it’ll be a good one!!

Well, I’ll say that if you’re applying to an engineering school, they’re going to pay more attention to you math and science grades/tests etc…

I’m not sure… I was considering financial engineering @lancemurphy96
