Hi I am currently a junior in high school and my grades aren't that great. I'm thinking if I have a shot at Indiana.
My GPA is a 2.2 and my SAT scores are a 1790.
Break down is 600 Critical Reading, 570 Math, and 620 on Writing.

I have a ton of extracurriculars and do a lot in my community.
All of my classes are honors or advanced placement.
I have a medical condition that caused me to miss majority of my time in school which is why my grades are so low. I plan to explain that in my essay.

Call IU admissions and ask. If your chances aren’t good at the Bloomington campus, you might try one of the other campus’s whose admission standards aren’t as strict. If you do well, you can transfer to IUB after a year or two.

1) Look at those people’s ACT/SAT scores. They’re higher than yours.
2) Those people could have had factors such as athletic scholarship, legacy, etc. do you have any of those things?

I don’t think that you’ll be accepted without some strings attached. IU may allow you to become an IU student through the Hoosier Links program, which lets you be a student at Ivy Tech and prove yourself before becoming an IU student.
