Hi. I am an international student taking a gap year. Can you chance me with this low SAT?
I was rejected by the school last year, going to apply EA this year.

SAT: 2020
CR: 560 >> I think I had the bubblling- answers disaster. Because I have checked the consolidated answers and I think I would get at least a 650. Anyways, I'm looking forward to order a score verification - checking scores by hand.

W: 760, 12 essay
Math: 700

I cannot take the test anymore because I am utterly exhausted of it now.

GPA: 8.8/10.0
Class rank: 2
Essay: I think this is my secret weapon

Ecs: Okay
Letters of Recommendations: glowing

The problem is that my family can afford $15,000 per year. So would this stupid SAT score deter me from getting the aids? I am really worried because I think they would not even look at my writing score.

That is a great SAT score and GPA, and definitely above average for Clark. If you consider your ECs to be only ok, then maybe that’s something, as being well-rounded is really important for Clark.
Also, Clark is well known to be really generous when it comes to aid.
Good luck with everything!

I have no real authority to render an opinion about your chances. I am merely the mom of a recent Clark grad and I happen to know the stats of my S and several of his friends who applied 4 years ago. Looks to me as if you have a very good chance of being accepted.
One thing my son and his roommate noticed was that after the first 2 years, after declaring a major, the academic demands increased significantly. This was fine for my son, whose HS stats were not quite as high as yours, but who had the capability to perform well. He has been accepted into the tuition free grad program, which is an incredibly generous option for those who choose it. If your family can afford to support you for a fifth year, Clark is an incredible bargain.
Best of luck to you!
