I know there's some middle school stuff on there. Tell what I should take out of my app from 6th-8th grades. The stuff I included from middle school is stuff I thought was significant or related to state/national recognition. I also wrote a pretty good, original writing piece in 11th grade for fun and put that on my app. Is that okay or should I remove it? I just put in on the app to highlight my interest in English Literature and Writing.

Teacher/Counselor Recommendations: Great
Essays: Good

Thanks!

As long as you have above a 4.0 and a 2000 you can basically count on entrance into U illinois UC. I’m looking at a graph of admissions from my school and 100% of people above a 4.0 got admitted (regardless of SAT/ACT).

Urbana Champaign (Aerospace)- Reach
Chicago- Safety?
Purdue- Match
Ohio- Don’t know much about it
Austin- Not sure, probably match
Michigan- Reach
Minnesota- Probably match-low match

@nickchan1 Yeah, but I want to get into engineering at UIUC and I heard that’s much harder. And in India there’s no GPA on a 4 point scale. Also, for applicants from India, UIUC only considers the grades of the 10th grade cbse board exams and the 11th grade final exams because those 2 are the only external assessments (conducted directly by the education board). So they’re only looking at the 9.8 and 91%. Do you think I’d get in with a 2100?

Apologies, I didn’t read your major. You’ve got a shot, but it’s not a great one. I’d still apply though. If you do end up getting a 2100 and a 700+ on your SAT IIs you’ve got a good shot, but it’s way easier said than done.

Yeah I guess you’re right. I’m confident about the SAT II but not the SAT. I usually mess up the Math section even though I’m pretty good at Math and I can’t seem to break 8 on the essay.

No one else? C’mon guys.
