I am an international student from Indonesia looking to apply as an undergraduate in the US.

Little backstory:
Since grade 9, I’ve always wanted to study medicine in my home country (medical school is a bachelor’s here). However, it was in my senior year that I realized I wouldn’t be happy studying there and changed plans to go to the US instead.

Current status:
I am now taking a gap year to: 1) Find out what I really want. 2) Take a break before jumping in into a hectic college schedule. 3) Spend time on other interests. I have decided to take a major in biomedical engineering* in the US. I will be applying as an undergraduate for fall 2015.
*biomedical engineering is almost unheard of here
