So I don’t know if this will help or hinder you, but I cant tell if you are male or female, but this might have a substantial impact. If you are Male this will I think help, if female, well lets just say everything else on your app needs to be really good. Your EC’s look solid, you’re AP will help you and your GPA weighted I assume, whilst not great (they tend to expect over 4.5 weighted may not hurt you, I think you’re biggest issue on the basis of these stats is your SAT math, I really think all the SAT need to be over 700 for Wes, even though they have gone test optional, if you are going to send them then, I really think you’re math needs to be 700 to be on the safe side, retake?.
Are you taking Subject tests, because I think even though test optional now, you may well need subject tests and they would also help if your subject test was Math and you scored 700+. So at least you got some input, good luck, if you can try early D, I think it will help and ensure you have a good shot at being admitted if you can.

I think those seems really good colleges for you and your stats, I guess you never know the odds with Tufts, Emory (eh the south!), Rice good school (shame its in texas), Vassar great alt to Wesleyan and to my eyes a better academic school, dont know Brandies, Northwestern (great rep boring town), I like your odds at all the school, they appear on the face all good -Match schools, maybe Northwestern is a reach, have you considered UCLA/USC or Pomona/Pitzer. All great schools if you love CA you cant go wrong, if you are east coast your geography may give you an advantage.

Btw, it’s “Brandeis”, and Evanston is right outside of Chicago. I’ve literally never heard a single person ever complain about Evanston, Illinois. Are you just making this all up as you go?

@CatalinaRoo: I have no idea why you would need 700’s across the board for your application to be successful. 700 on each of the SAT subsections will be about average for the entering class, so about half of freshman will be below 700 on the math portion. And your reading score is terrific.

Your application will be entirely appropriate for this college. Your chances of success will have more to do with how well you present your ECs, and on the strength of your recommendations, then on any “weakness” in your math score. Yes, a little higher would be better. But when isn’t that the case?
