Chance me.

Thanks Everyone that reads this. I'm super nervous about college.

I'm senior about to send in apps. I go to a smallish, suburban, mid level public high school in California. We don't have many kids go to the really top tier schools. Last year some one went to Yale which is the first Ivy Leaguer we have had in a while. Most of the really smart kids go to Berkeley or UCLA. No one at my school has gotten into Stanford since 1984!

Anyways, here are my stats:

SAT Reading: 800
SAT Writing: 780
SAT Math: 720
SAT Total: 2300

SAT 2 Bio M: 760
SAT 2 Lit: 780
SAT 2 US History: 780

GPA: 4.55 (weighted); 3.98 (unweighted.... so close to a 4.0, but stupid PE)

Rank: Definitely in top 5%. I may be valedictorian.

I will have taken 11 AP classes and 7 UC approved honors classes by graduation. So far I've gotten mostly 5 and like two 4 on the AP tests.

Senior Year Courses: AP Calc, AP Lit, AP Gov/Econ (1 semester of each), AP Spanish, Honors Jazz Band, AP Physics, and a Leadership class (I had to because I'm the ASB President).

ECs:

Speech and Debate (4 yrs)- President (2 yrs)....... Competed in varsity at State level for 2 years and member of National Forensics League with distinction.

Mock Trial (4yrs)- Lead Defense Attorney (3 yrs)

Junior Statesmen of America (2 yrs)- Founder and Vice President (2 yrs)

ASB President

Science Olympiad (2 yrs)- Founder and President (2 yrs)

California Scholarship Federation (service club; 2 yrs) - Vice President Junior year and this year I'm president.

Jazz Band (3 yrs)- Lead saxophone

Musical (6 musicals over 4 yrs)

Over 500 hours of community service.

Internships at a local law office and with a district attorney.

Tennis, Volleyball, and Soccer Player (2 yrs of each)

Essay: Pretty damn good. But i guess I'm biased

Teacher Recs: Not Insane, but also not bad

Counselor Rec: Generic but it serves it purpose, I suppose.

I'm an Indian ( the Asian kind) male with no legacies or anything like that. Income around $100000. I'm thinking of either majoring in Bio or going down the traditional PreLaw school path.

Soooooo, what are my chances? Of course, I would love to get into an Ivy League. Any of those would be my first choice. I also wouldn't mind some small liberal arts college like Bowdoin or Williams. I love the East coast by the way. But do I actually have a shot at these schools? Tell me my chances for Stanford, Pomona, Berkely, UCLA, and any other school you think might fit the bill. I'm open to almost anything.

Thanks for reading guys!

Calculate your UC GPA (PE doesn’t count in the GPA): <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Stanford: Reach (for Everyone)
Pomona: Low Reach
UCLA/UCB: Match

I think for UC, my GPA is like a 4.1

How are my ECs looking???
