Hey guys,
I just wanted to know my chances of getting into Stanford.
My ACT score is 33( math-32; science-35;english-34;reading-31; writing- 31)
SAT Math 2- 790
Have taken SAT, but my scores are lower than my ACT (SAT-1970)
International student, coming from India. Came to US during my sophomore year.
Part of Academic Challenge Team, chess club, Volunteering, cricket(played in India), Science and Math Club.
GPA- 4.25
Class rank- our school does not report class rank, but I feel I should be in the top 10
Have applied early action and dont need financial aid( Stanford gives importance to International students not needing financial aid)
Essay- Was good( maybe excellent) definitely “out of the box”
Do I have a good chance. Please be honest, guys.

To be blunt, your chances are pretty slim.

While the ACT score and the GPA are good, your ECs do not have a lot going for you.

What is your intended major?

You should note that a lot of people from India who apply to Stanford each year have great extra-curricular activities along with GPA and marks better/as good as you. You will be against a lot of ultra-competitive applicants.

You should start looking out for other lower-tier universities to apply to.

I agree with above depending on how well your application as a whole comes together. It is really important that your app tells a story about who you are and what you will bring to the school if they accept you.

Please chance back
