I have dystonia, a neurologic movement disorder, which causes muscles to painfully twist and contract causing distorted postures. It can limit a person’s mobility, ability to eat and speak, and everyday tasks. Last year, my junior year, I had a really awful time medically. I was in the hospital for over two months and then dealt with biblical pain for months - I was a mess, I had such horrific muscle spasms that it felt like someone was stabbing a pitch fork in my back and slowly twisting it all day, everyday. SOOO no SAT tests last year (physically impossible). & a reduced course load of just calculus, english, gym and a study hall.

This year I’m back to a full course load because my pain subsided. However, the first time i took the SAT in Oct I wasn’t eating so i got a 1540. I retook it in November with supplemental nutrition and that resulted in a 1690… My courses this year, because of my nutritional needs, aren’t the most challenging level wise but still difficult

Villanova is my #1 choice because of the unique nature of their disability program. However I’ve been accepted to my safety schools with scholarship offers
