GPA/class rank?

My weighted GPA is 4.0+ and I am in the top 5% of my class. I am also in National Honor Society, English Honor Society, Math Honor Society and Foreign Language Honor Society.

Applying ED is wise as it will give you a “bump”; W&L considers “demonstrated interest”, and ED application is certainly evidence of that. Being in the top five percent of your class while taking the most rigorous curriculum available to you will help balance your test scores, which are a little low for W&L but not out of the ballpark (sorry, I don’t know if W&L superscores). If your essays and recs are strong, I think have a good chance of admission in the ED round. Assume you’ve visited campus?

Make sure you can pay for it because when you are admitted ED you must withdraw applications to all other schools. You will not know if they would have made any financial aid offers. You won’t know if W&L will give you funds until as late as April.

Yes I’ve visited and I plan on interviewing sometime soon.

“Students who meet the Early Decision financial aid deadlines, and are found to have to have financial need, will receive financial aid awards made up of grant funding and a small portion of work-study, but no loans.”
