Hello everyone,

Hi everyone and thank you for taking your time to read this thread. I have been falling in love with Lehigh for quite some time, and would just like to know where I stand in terms of admissions. Thanks!

Hi knears,

Wow, I think you are developing a fantastic record! I think you are an awesome fit for Lehigh. If your Dad’s cousin is the Head Football Coach why don’t you and your family go down for a football game and an admissions tour and visit this fall and next fall. During the admission tours they have very nice talks with admissions officers and they talk very frankly about what they are looking for on the applications. Since for are planning so far in advance I would attend one of those talks - you will have the time to take the classes they recommend.

Also, I would really advise you to take a class to help you prepare for the SAT or ACT. Our son took the ACT once without any preparation and he scored a 27 composite. After he took the class he scored a 32 composite. We thought it was well worth the money.

If financial aid is not needed or a deciding factor applying Early Decision would be nice to just lock it up!

Your advance planning is very impressive. Lehigh too would be very impressed if you attended an admissions event now. Lehigh would be very lucky to have you! Best of luck!!!

Thank you for the response @kikkydee!

I’m glad to hear this positive news! I plan on visiting there this fall to go to a game with my cousin who is also interested in possibly attending Lehigh as well. Also, an admissions officer is visiting my school sometime in October, which is something I plan on signing up for just to get an even better feel for the school. As well, the PSAT is right around the corner too, and I will be taking that.

Thanks again for that response!

Please keep us posted of your progress!

I will! Thank you!

I believe the acceptance rate for business was around 15% a few years ago. So make sure you have a rigorous schedule and solid test scores. Perhaps try to get a business internship.

Unfortunately, the school denied my request to move into Algebra II Honors, however my teacher is willing to give me the content from Algebra II. So I will be hopefully be going into Pre Calculus honors next year.

After back and forth with the school board, I am in honors algebra.

The first quarter has come to a close finally… My grades were not as good as I had anticipated, but still were on track.

US I Honors: 86.48% (B)
Chemistry Honors: 90.96% (A-)
English II Honors: 91.18% (A-)
Algebra II Honors: 88.52% (B+)
Spanish III CP: 95.28% (A)
Computer Applications: 96.58% (A)
Accounting I: 97.34% (A)
Drivers Ed: 96.30% (A)

Quarter 1 GPA: 3.96

As well, I have been invited to the elite economics team that which I plan on joining.

Thanks!
