I’m an IB student too! Also that’s cool that you have a Bernie Sanders Club. Your ECs look really good to me, as do your GPA and class rank. The ACT scores might be low-ish, but the rest of your app should compensate. I think you probably have above average chances, but its super iffy.

Thanks @shamrocks for your input! Are you a junior or senior IBer? If you’re a junior, I can provide some of my wisdom I’ve gathered through suffering. The Bernie Sanders club was started by one of my friends this year and is pretty cool although we’re still gaining momentum. My ACT scores have been my biggest concern, but I did interview with a previous admissions officer who was something similar to the assistant to dean of admissions and he emphasized that Pomona’s admissions are very holistic, so I’m hoping I can somehow make it.

If you are planning on continuing LAX in college, make sure you contact the coach ASAP.

@otisp I love lacrosse and during my sophomore year looked at pursuing it in college, but since then, I have done little for recruitment and such, so I am currently not planning on playing anything higher than club.
