High school senior in loudoun. Will I get into tech engineering with some of the basics:
GPA: 4.18 weighted with 1.0 bumps for AP and 0.5 for honors
Rank: 95th percentile out of around 400

SAT (2070): Math-730, CR-680, Writing-660
SAT 2: Math-800, Chemistry-650
4 APs prior to senior year
Senior Year:
AP Economics
AP Calculus BC
AP Literature
AP Chemistry
AP Statistics
Physics
US Government

EC: 2 sports, various clubs, some leadership, sporadic volunteer work, internship at math/science research company
Essay: Fairly short but very concise and to the point
Teacher Rec: Not required i know but it should be pretty well written but i never read it so i dont know

As far as I know Engineering is the most competitive major in Tech. Your stats definitely put you high up on that list, but there is never a guarantee. Write a stellar essay with your application, and I’m pretty sure you’ll get in especially if your in state.
