Chance me?

I’m in the start of my Junior year, and I’ve decided I’m applying to these following colleges:

  • Eastern Michigan
  • Miami-Oxford
  • Pennsylvania State
  • Michigan State

SAT: 1900
ACT: 29
(I’m taking more preparatory courses and hoping to get 32 by next year)
Unweighted GPA: 2.8
(Hope to get to 3.0 by Senior Year)

EC: Marching Band two years, JV Cross-country one year, Varsity Track one year, Rotary Interact Club, Stage Technican for Drama club, Cameraman/Film Editor for School Broadcasting, Community service, Fishing Club.

AP: AP Government, AP World, AP European, with two fours and a five as my test scores. Taking AP Calculus and AP Psychology next year.

Recommendations: There is a possibility that I can receive a letter of recommendation from the Michigan Civil Rights Commission and perhaps one from some local officials (I am currently volunteering in multiple political projects) and a couple teachers/coaches, but not much else.

I’m hoping to get into a college with an NROTC program so I can accomplish my goal of serving in the USMC. My GPA was low because I failed two classes Freshmen Year and didn’t really care up until mid-Sophmore Year, when I managed to raise it by 0.2. Right now I’m working hard and my GPA is improving, but I’m willing to recognize that it’s still going to be a hard fight.

Um according to my calculations its like a probably on this one

With your current GPA, I think you are setting unreasonable standards. Consider community.
