Teacher Recommendations:
The first one is from my Chemistry and Biology teacher from sophomore and junior year. She also moderates WISH club which I spend several hours doing stuff for a week.

The second is from my English teacher from my junior year, He is also my Cross Country coach.

I am very close with both.

Personal Essay: I am going to write about my experience with my dad’s ALS during my sophomore, junior, and senior and how this inspired my passion and drive for medicine and challenged me to become a better person. I’m not sure about the direction of the essay but it should be really good.

You mean ED II right? Because the deadline for ED I to Tufts has passed.

I’m a junior.

Try to get 34/35 for ACTS–Try to get as many 5’s as possible for your AP Tests.

You will need very strong math skills for Pre-Med–EC’s are important, but won’t substitute for strong standardized scores…Best of luck!

Aim for 33+ on ACT, improve whatever you are best at (but math and science will help you the most if the applications for the schools you won’t take separate subject scores). Your ECs are pretty strong, though.

I consider myself to be much better at language arts than math but I am good at science. Would it hurt me to study something in the humanities during undergraduate? If it’s any help, I am also considering trauma surgery as a possible career path and I would imagine that it involves less math once you are working than research. Is this true?

You will get into University of Denver, no dout. I get hundreds of emails and speical invatations from them.
Boston College is sort of a low reach school. You have the grades for it, your test scores are in the lower 50%. I am applying to BC Early Action. For you, since you’re already in a calthoic school, it might up your chances.
For Villanova, again your stats are in the middle application pool, but since you’re a legacy that might help you.
Tufts is very similar to Villanova and BC for stats, but I think they are a little be harder to get into than the previous schools.

Gerogetown and UPenn are defintely reach schools (but every ivy is a reach school, and georgetown is basically ivy)

Have you considered Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Duke or Emory. Vandy and Emory have great pre-med programs, they are both within the top 20 in the nation.
