Chance me for McGill please. I am a US high school student applying to the Arts program. I have always been a horrible tester and my SAT math score is below the minimum though I have only taken it once. Do you think that if I take the SAT again and still get a below minimum score I will be denied? I am waiting on my scores for my Literature and Spanish subject tests but with the information below, what do you think my chances are?
SAT CR-670
SAT WR-660
SAT MATH-530
GPA (unweighted) – 3.9
McGill does not make exceptions to the minimum requirements. Your math score is 70 points below the minimum.
I thought that their minimum was 560? For the arts program, not sciences.
"Arts (B.A.) B+ average in grades 10,
11 and 12; B+ in each
English; each SAT I and II
620 (SATI Math 600) or ACT 27 Courses: English
SAT IIs: any two different subjects "
But then it also says this on the same page:
Critical Reading 620
Math 560 (for Engineering and Architecture 600)
Writing 610
Those apply to programs that state above "as per minimum requirements’
Oh I see now, thanks. So, they don’t ever make any exceptions? Even if I can get it up a little bit higher? I am not sure how much higher I can get it, math has never been my thing.
