It kind of depends. What Engineering are you applying to?
If you’re applying to ECSE, General, or mining and material engineering then everything looks fine and you should probably be accepted.
If you’re applying to Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil there is a chance you won’t be accepted. Everything is fine except for your science sub score which is below the minimum. Other than that everything is pretty much well above the minimum. It all depends on how they view that 25 in science.
edit: TomSrOfBoston said in another thread that McGill does not make exceptions to the minimums. If this is the case, you might be rejected from engineering if you applied to mechanical, chemical, or civil.
I am applying to materials actually. Thank you though!
@panicattheapp Hey! I applied for General Engineering. I was wondering, which curriculum did you follow?
What do you mean by that. In my school, I “majored” in Aerospace Engineering and in my general engineering class I realized that I really enjoyed material science. This year I am taking a specific aerospace engineering related class but I have zero interest in that, I prefer to make planes stronger than make planes fly.
Also best of luck friend, Hope to see you next year!
@panicattheapp Oh sorry! I thought you were an applicant.
@panicattheapp Thanks!
@panicattheapp I applied in November and I’m waiting for a decision. I’m still exploring my options in engineering, so I decided to apply for general engineering. Is the general engineering option competitive?
I think you misunderstood me, I am a senior in an American high school applying for material sciences. My school has majors and i happened to join the “Aerospace Engineering” major in my school. I didnt really understand your question though. Also regarding your decision, does it say ready to review or further review required?
@panicattheapp Oops, okay I get it now haha. It says “Ready for Review”. I hope we get our decisions soon!
I still have to wait for my second marking period grades, then i can reapply!
