First off, I am currently a junior so what would I need to get on the ACT and SAT in order to look better when applying? Anyways:
UW GPA: 3.39 W: 3.6 (yes I screwed up sophomore year)
IB Classes: 6 total at end of senior year
AP Classes: 2 (scored a 4 on AP Lang and 3 on AP World)
Honors Classes: 6
I have lettered in Cross Country and community service. I volunteer at a museum doing lab work. As for school clubs and whatnot, I am in French National Honor Society and Tri-M (I play the cello). Hopefully I can improve my second semester of junior year . . .
Not a good enough GPA to compete with their admissions pool. You would have to have nearly perfect scores and a more rigorous courseload. Try to improve GPA and get good test scores to improve chances. Good luck.
Don’t want to kick a dead horse but your GPA is pretty low even for Oxford College. The lower 25 percentile for Oxford is 3.55 and probably only going to increase the next two years. However, seeing that you are a junior you still have 3 semesters of grades to boost your GPA.
Try to get straight A’s and get at least a 34 on your ACT or 2250+ on SAT and that will make you a competitive applicant for Oxford or perhaps even Emory College.
