Chance Me

Ok so I’d really appreciate it if you guys would chance me. I’m a high school senior from Pennsylvania with the hopes of maybe attending Emerson College for Fall 2016. I have a 3.9 GPA and am currently taking differential calculus, english, yearbook, AP statistics, a psychology course and another psychology course in the spring at a nearby community college. I have low test scores, 1480 on the SAT. Freshman year of high school I had qualified for the world dock diving event in Dubuque, Iowa, with my aunt’s dog Zen. Over summer I had participated in my first ever Dock Diving event and won the junior division, which was a wild card event, therefore qualifying us for the worlds. In November we traveled to Dubuque, Iowa, for Worlds. Freshman year of high school I also managed the high schools ninth grade girls basketball team. I kept score and statistics for every game. I also traveled with them to tournaments and kept the scorebook.
Sophomore year of high school I participated in an indoor winter field hockey league, with my high school’s team. Then in the spring I participated in two tournaments with the team at East Stroudsburg. In the winter I managed my high school varsity and junior-varsity girls teams. My tasks included: attending practice to keep statistics, filling out the scorebook, attending tournaments to keep statistics, and filming the games. Junior year of high school my friend and I created a club at our school called A.P.A.C. This club strives to help animal shelters and their animals. We try to raise money and accept as many donations as possible for them. We have money bins along with donation bins placed throughout our high school. I also helped create the group PGHS Unite my junior year of high school. This group was created to try and make my school a friendlier and more accepting school. Through this group and other accomplishments, Pottsgrove has become an official school of No Place For Hate. Senior year I’m continuing with PGHS Unite, and A.P.A.C along with joint student government, and yearbook club. So what would my chances be at getting into Emerson College??

I’m a prospective freshman as well and I’m waiting for the early action decision! Based on what I’ve researched and heard from other people, you have a decent shot. Your SAT score is not very good in terms of what they’re looking for, but they don’t just look at SAT scores. Your extra curricular activities are a lot better than mine though haha.

Ok thank you so much!! And yeah my SAT scores are horrible, granted I did no studying, I just hope they look past that. I’m so nervous cause I feel this would be my number one choice. Thank you and good luck!!
