I would suggest you don’t send your test scores as American is a test optional university! If you don’t send in your scores they pay more attention to your course rigor and grades and you have taken quite a few honors so yeah!
I’ve applied ED1! You should go to American’s website and check their online events! They have recordings of webinars discussing topics like applying test optional to American and how they would review your application once they receive it!
Haha I hope I do decisions are out next week! I’m just trying my luck I plan to study here in India only! Need to focus on my boards in march! Dad said I could try out one college and if I got in he would let me go depending on the scholarships!
If you get in you should really consider going it is a great school. And maybe we will meet but yeah money is priority you don’t wanna go in with debt
I knowwww I mean I want international studies what better place than American/GWU! There is absolutely no place in India to study international relations! Money does take first priority though:(
I’m a junior in high school and I’m looking at AU and just wanted to get some perspective on if it should even be on my reach list or not. I want to study Political Science and International Studies, possibly join ROTC. Any perspective/guidance you can give me would be awesome!

Get your GPA up to at least 3.5 which will hit AU’s average! Your volunteer work sounds good! Show a lot of demonstrated interest and apply ED if American is your first choice and that’s a sure way to get in! Try and get involved in MUN that always gives a boost to your EC’s! @3214md and if you don’t plan on taking another SAT then don’t send in your scored as I think they are below AU’s average!
