chance me??

I just applied for nyu RD as a media, culture, and communication major at steinhardt, and my 2nd option is the liberal studies program.

I have already been accepted into the journalism school at university of georgia, but it is not my 1st choice
i’m also still applying to BU for journalism, GW for communication, and sarah lawrence

i’m a white female from georgia, and i’ll be able to pay full tuition

GPA: 4.46 weighted/3.95 unweighted (these are just 9th-11th grades, my 1st semester senior grades were all A’s except an 89 in physics)
SAT: 1920 (620 reading, 650 math, 650 writing)
top 8% of my class (38/474)
past AP classes: AP world history, AP biology, AP psychology, AP english lang/comp; i got 5’s on all of these except for bio, which i got a 4 on
current classes: AP stats, AP lit, AP studio art (2-D design), lit mag, online physics, and online econ next semester
i’ve taken mostly honors/ap classes, the only normal classes i’ve taken are art classes and one onlevel spanish class

awards: ap scholar, my photography was put on display in the high museum of art this past summer

extracurriculars:
dance for 15 years, senior company w/ multiple lead roles
art editor of the lit mag for 2 years
photography for 4 years
created/write a successful fashion blog for 1 year
volunteer at the drake closet for 2 years
interned at a boutique this past semester for fashion merchandising/PR
worked at a pizzeria this summer and semester
member of nhs (which requires a ton of volunteering), national art honor society, and national english honor society

i have very strong essays, both for common app and nyu supplement
one rec from my english teacher last year (who is a dr.) and one from my art teacher who has taught me since i was in 6th grade, so those should be fairly strong

only weak thing for me is my sat but i took it twice and it only increased by 50 points after months with a private tutor

i feel like the rest of my app is strong, so what are my chances?

Your ECs are very strong, and you have a great academic profile. That being said an SAT of 1920 for NYU places you bellow their 50th percentile of admitted students, which makes the school a reach. That being said your SATs are still above their 25th percentile and you still have a shot. Good Luck!
