Chance me?

I had a thread before, but now in retrospect I realize that I am missing a lot of key information

I am considering applying to University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), Johns Hopkins, MIT, UC Berkeley, Caltech, and/or Harvard

And here are some statistics:

Essays and Recs:
Essays are intellectually exciting, but not as creative (I am not amazing at essays)
My recommendations are excellent, coming from my ap biology teacher, my science olympiad coach, and my engineering teacher

I am an Indian (from the country of India) Male

*I have only taken 3 actual years of english courses, but that is because I took a 4th additional in summer school so I have 4.0 credits of english, but didnt take any during senior year

What are my chances, just by looking at this information, of making it into the colleges that I listed above?

I will chance anyone back who comments on this btw

It sounds like you have done pretty well all around so I would say you have a fairly decent chance at any of these schools. Go ahead and apply, what do you have to lose? But visit to see oof they are a comfortable fit.

Literally “unbelievable” stats!
No one in sound mind try the other test - lest getting less than perfect score - once s/he achieves perfection in either SAT or ACT … especially a (supposedly) smart one!

@aaa16797 surely with your apparently perfect stats you know you have a better chance than anyone else at these colleges. I will assume your post is serious but I can’t believe people you know haven’t already told you so. Good luck!

Nah the thing is I have seen other people’s stats and they have a ton of ECs and a ton of awards and volunteer stuff and they make it into only mediocre schools, which is what makes me skeptical of my own stats @CorpusChristi

That’s true you never know! I think you will do fine.

you have perfect stats. in addition, you have a lot of experience and it shows. the languages will help a lot. trust me, you are fine.

Now will it make a difference the number of times I took the SAT or ACT though? Because the 36 on the ACT was my second time, and I got 35 the first time.

Amazing stats! Are you a senior or junior?

Haha I wish I was a junior with these stats but no I’m a senior @Satoract

Pretty awesome stuff man… You have a really good shot at all the places you’ve listed. I hope that you understand that all of those places are reaches for everybody because they’re sooo competitive. That being said,

University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) - Admitted; Johns Hopkins - Admitted; MIT - cant say. I think that you’ll get in; UC Berkeley - Admitted; Caltech - Rejected (or waitlisted); Harvard - cant really say.

best of luck!

@aaa16797 Let us know which school you get in to!

bump

@aaa16797 Chance back

I’d say you have a really good shot. That said, all the schools you are applying to are competitive. Good luck!
