I’m a rising senior from Connecticut who recently visited Brandeis and loved it. I aim to go into computational linguistics, and they have the best undergrad program (language and computation focus) that I’ve seen yet. Anyway, here’re my credentials:
New SAT 1450 without writing (will retake with writing this fall)
3.5 UW GPA, 3.9 W (out of 4)
APUSH 5, taking AP French, German, Literature, Calc, and both gov courses this year
All other classes are honors when available
Overall trend: meh freshman year, decent sophomore year, good junior year
Gay-Straight Alliance 4 years (1 year as vice president)
Marching band 3 years
German Honor Society 3 years
Debate team ever since it was formed this past year
Have self-taught Mandarin Chinese to a HSK 3-ish level, and planning to go further with this
I have also already done my interview with Brandeis, and it seemed to go very well. My interviewer was definitely impressed with some of my answers.
Thoughts?
