Chance me?

I’m an out of state junior, and I was wondering how my chances look so far. (My intended pathway is biomedical engineering)

Gender: Male
Race: Asian

Unweighted GPA: 4.0
Weighted GPA: 4.8
Class rank: 10/989

PSAT: 1340 (700 eng/640 math)
This was from last year’s PSAT, and I have not taken the actual SAT yet. I’ll be taking the PSAT again in October.

AP Classes:

-AP Human Geography (5)
-AP World History (4)
-AP Biology (4)

Current Schedule:

-Freshman Comp 1 (dual-enrolled)
-Sociology (dual-enrolled)
-AP US History
-AP Calculus AB
-AP Psychology

My concern is the lack of sciences in my schedule. My original intention for dual-enrollment was to continue to take more biology related courses, but the timing of the classes for this semester did not work with my high school classes. I’m hoping to be able to take a science course next semester.

Predicted Senior Year Schedule:

-[dual enrollment course]
-[dual enrollment course]
-AP Calculus BC
-AP Gov/Econ
-AP Physics C

Extracurriculars:

-Varsity swim team (will be 3 years after senior year, probably captain next year)
-Club swimming (will be 3 years)
-National Honor Society (will be 2 years)
-National Beta Club (will be 4 years)

Job Experience:

-American Eagle (just got employed a month ago, hope to keep for a while)

Any input?

Your class rank is really good, and that helps at GT. If you get your SAT scores up to about 1450+ (math score should be 700+), I’m pretty sure you would get in. Try to get a biology or science class next semester. That would help. GT definitely focuses more on academics than ECs.

I just applied to Georgia Tech early action. I am in state. I have heard a lot about GT admissions. Feel free to message me
