I totally screwed up my freshman year. Every since than, I’ve opened my eyes and started putting in effort. That’s why my 10-12 GPA is great.

I applied this year too (ED), so I feel like any chances I give you aren’t going to be too accurate. But if I were you, I’d go test-optional for that one. It’s well below the middle 50%, so it won’t help you at all.

My son is a freshman at GWU. He was advised not to submit scores unless he got at least a 30. He had a 31. Weighted GPA was 4.19. Your GPA and test scores are low for the typical profile. I would strongly advise showing as much interest as possible by visiting, calling, emailing, attending local GWU gatherings in California to give yourself a chance.

a private college counselor and his own guidance counselor. In his case, his GPA was high enough (as was the rigor of his course word, ECs, etc) that he was advised that anything less than a 30 might not support the strength of his application. In the end, he did submit.

Regarding ACT: Those who are accepted fall into the following ranges:

18-23: 4%
24-29: 46%
30-36: 50%
