I’m really nervous about applying and want to know if I have even an inkling of a shot.
Add a couple matches/safeties. Your ACT is very low for the Ivies.
Brown- Rejection
Columbia- Rejection
Duke- Rejection
Harvard- Rejection
University of Wisconsin-Madison- Acceptance or Waitlisted
Washington University- Waitlisted/Rejection
University of Michigan-Ann Arbor- Acceptance
Yale- Rejection
Total: 2 Accepted, 2 Waitlisted, and 6 Rejections
Good Luck
What is your home state and major?
i would add more matches/safety
I agree with the adding safeties part
Wisconsin and Microbiology @ClarinetDad16
Also applied to NYU, UConn, Minnesota
OP, two things: first, I think your list is really reach-heavy.
Second, as far as applying to NYU, UConn and Minnesota, are all of those affordable? NYU is notoriously stingy with financial aid, and out of state publics are also expensive. Are your parents willing to pay for these schools?
Hi! Your SAT is a little low for the Ivies/Duke (would fall around the 25th percentile), but your EC’s are strong. But if you have killer recommendations and killer essays, or if you have any good hooks (URM, legacies etc) you will definitely have a higher chance. Anyways, here are my predictions:
Brown - rejected
Columbia - rejected
Duke - waitlisted/rejected
Harvard - rejected
UW-Madison - accepted
WashU - waitlisted/accepted
UMich Ann Arbor - waitlisted/accepted
Yale - rejected
