I am an Early Action applicant for Wheaton and I am very curious about my chances of getting in. My intended major is Art History.
High School courses: I do AP and Honors, except for math and science.
9th grade: French II H, English 9 H, World History CP, EPS CP, Algebra I (intensified), Art I (elective), gym and health (required)
10th grade: US History I H, French III H, English 10 H, Geometry CP, Biology CP, health and gym (required)
11th grade: AP US History, AP Art History, AP English, French IV H (College level course), Algebra II CP, Physics CP, health and gym (required), personal finance (required)
12th grade: AP European History, AP Literature, French V H (College level course), drawing I (elective), Chemistry CP, Precalculus CP, social psychology CP (elective), health and gym (required)
My GPA is a 3.4 unweighted but it is a 3.8 weighted. I haven’t received any academic awards but I’ve made Honor Roll. I’m in the top half of my class (class size is really, really big).
Extracurriculars:
Competitive swimming: grades 9, 10, 11, 12 (my school doesn’t have a swim team so I swim independently for them, I also swim for a team outside of school)- Competing at State and regional level
outdoor track: grades 9, 10, 11, 12, team member
piano: grades 9, 10, 11, 12, Taking private lessons. I’ve participated in the community and in competitions as well
violin: grades 9, 10, competed in all-state auditions and participated in community
