Essays (rating 1-10, details): 8 or 9? I’m a very strong writer, and the teacher who helps students with their essays told my journalism teacher that my essays were the best that she saw. I put a lot of work into them
Recommendations (rating 1-10, details): our school doesn’t let us see the letters but…
Teacher Rec #1: APUSH teacher. We have a very close relationship, as during AP exam prep he met with my friends and I out of class every week to review for over a month. Last week, he asked me to meet with him after school and told me not to despair about the country and to stay committed to poly sci. For that, I think he would write me a very good letter.
Teacher Rec #2: Precalc/ Calc teacher. Though I’ve never received an A in his class, I’ve always worked hard and met with him to retake tests and quizzes. I thought he would make a testament to my work ethic.
Counselor Rec: I’ve formed a great relationship with my counselor. He’s helped me through many personal issues and knows that I have big goals, so I assume he would write a great letter.
Additional Rec: N/A
Interview: My interviewer and I talked for about an hour and we had a very natural conversation. He was very impressed with my resume and he said he wished the best for me.
