Chance Me?

I’m currently a high school senior in the process of sending applications. Some I have already sent. I got into Purdue and was deferred from Case Western Reserve University, which made me doubtful of my own profile.

U.S. Citizen, Hispanic, live abroad

Intended Major: Biomedical Engineering

SAT Score (NEW): 1470 (750RW, 720M)
SAT II: 730 Math II (getting more results the day after tomorrow, hopefully, they’ll be better)
TOEFL: 116/120
GPA: 3.95 UW, 4.6 W
Course Load: Normal level courses in 9th-10th because I was not offered an option
11th-12th: IB HL History, IB HL Spanish Language and Literature (as language A), IB HL English (language B), IB SL Mathematics, IB SL Biology, IB SL Visual Arts, IB SL Theory of Knowledge, regular level French, Chemistry, and Physics (also not offered a choice)
The IB exams are in May, so I don’t have those scores. Hopefully, I graduate with an IB Diploma
Class Rank: 3/100

I speak English, Spanish, and French at about 70% fluency. I passed the DELF A2 exam with a 96/100.

ECs:

• 2-time Math Olympic Champion at my school (10th and 11th grades) (my school wasn’t allowed to move on to Regionals for some reason)
• Class Secretary 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Created a calendar system to manage the workload for my class, which was recently made a mandatory system for all grades at my school.
• Internship at a Clinical Laboratory (summer of 11th grade)
• Two summer courses at Brown University related to my chosen field, one online, one in presence: earned a certificate of completion and positive reports for both.
• Won 2nd place at the school science fair in 9th grade
• Helped organize and lead a summer camp at my school for underprivileged children. I was part of the logistics committee and in charge of social media publications.
• Piano: I have been playing the piano for five years, completed six years’ worth of progress in just over 4 years
• Part of the school choir in 10th grade
• Model UN 9th-10th, specifically an international conference hosted in my home country: Won Best Negotiation Skills, Best Position Paper, and Distinguished Delegation (2nd Place) all in 10th.
• Swimming: I swim as a sport and hobby since I can remember.

I’ve also completed CAS, the IB requirement for extracurricular activities, with over 300 hours’ worth of activities.

I’d say my essay stands at about an 8/10, I am receiving help with the writing stuff.
My recs are also pretty good, 2 teachers and the counselor, all I’d say 8 or 9/10

I’m hoping to get into at least some of the following universities:

  1. Northwestern University
  2. University of Michigan
  3. Georgia Tech
  4. Duke University
  5. University of Pennsylvania
  6. Johns Hopkins University
  7. University of Rochester
  8. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

I know Hopkins, Duke and UPenn are high reaches, but I want to know if I at least have a chance

Bump

Update: Just got admitted into UMich
