Bucknell (match): accept
Bates (high reach): reject
Dickinson (low reach): waitlist/reject
Skidmore (low reach): waitlist/accept
St. Lawrence (high safety): accept
It would help if you could provide more details about your classes as well as your test scores. These chances are almost entirely based on your GPA.
Also, how many service hours do you have? Your EC’s are a little weak – it helps if you have a demonstrated passion, and it is even better if you can align that passion with your major.
I wish you the best of luck, and I’d appreciate it if you could chance me back.
I go to a boarding school
50 hours of community service
Jr year coarse load English 11, apush, ap spanish, stats and doing independent studies
Doing test optional except for bucknell
Sr year i plan to take ap euro, ap environmental science, ap spanish 2, English 12, senior project and history electives
I will be applying ED to one of these schools
Ah a boarding school, that explains a lot. I go to a boarding school too, so I completely understand the difficulty of getting EC’s. Your courses are strong, and you have great choices for senior year as well. If possible, I’d suggest doing a service project or something of the sort this summer to add to your EC’s, but if that isn’t possible, I think you will still be okay. That said, I would still suggest studying for and taking the SAT or ACT as a good score might help a lot, and it might be significant to schools that don’t require scores (I don’t know if this is true, but if a school doesn’t require scores and you submit a good one, then it’s logical to think that this will be impressive).
Since I know a bit more now, I think the schools I listed as waitlist/reject should be waitlist/accept. Colleges understand how competitive boarding schools are, so that helps put your GPA into context and improve your chances.
