Currently a junior in high school starting to look at colleges, and interested in wrestling in college. I attend a well-known New England Prep school. Some information purposefully vague to hide identity.

Target schools
Williams - head wrestling coach at my school wrestled at Williams, my college counselor also went there. Received high interest from their wrestling coach.
Brown - I’ve talked with the wrestling coach, plan on attending recruiting clinics
UChicago - Some emailing with the wrestling coach, plan on visiting soon.
Harvard
UPenn
Pomona - Doesn’t have wrestling, but I toured the campus and really liked it

Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 3.7
ACT: 34 one-sitting, shooting for a 35
Weighted GPA (out of 5.0): School doesn’t do weighted GPA, but I take highest level courses available
Rank: School doesn’t rank, probably around top 10-15%?
AP (place score in parentheses): European History, will take Bio and Spanish
Planned Senior Year Course Load: Biochemistry research (independent research course), AP Biology, AP Spanish, English elective, Economics, Honors Calculus
Awards: placed highly at regional tournaments, 2x team MVP, cross country team won 2 regional titles. Academic high distinction multiple times.

You’re GPA is a little low but I don’t see how it could hold you back way too much! Just really depends on your essays

Thanks for the response! I agree, a slightly higher GPA could definitely help for some of those harder schools.

ACT & GPA is a bit on the lower side for Penn and Harvard, but otherwise pretty good focus on wrestling.

^ How can Williams be an accept? Williams is on par with all those other schools.
