I want to got to school for actuarial science, which is business with an emphasis on math. If you guys have any advice on more colleges I really need to receive suggestions.

1490 SAT(700 English 790 Math) hoping to retake and get 1530+
Will take ACT, expecting ~34
Will take math II and chemistry subject test, expect high scores(near 800 definitely above 750)
3.98 UW GPA 4.38 W GPA
3/200 in my class

ECs:
-Ran varsity cross country for 4 years, state qualifier and 4 time scholar athlete award, School Course Record Holder, team captain

-Varsity swimming for 4 years, Conference Qualifier, Team Captain, 4 time scholar athlete award winner

-Played varsity baseball one year

-Ran varsity Track 3 years, Conference Qualifier, Team Captain

-Represented my school at a conference-wide scholarship program

-4 time math project presenter and first place award winner at regional competition, three time best math project in the region award

-Technician in school Science Technology Assistance program(many hours)

Impressive acedemics, very strong ecs as they show commitment, leadership and are a sum of athletics and math (your major kind of). You also have many awards and community service. All these make you very competitive to all those schools. I think you have a chance for the ivys as well even though they are extremely selective. Very balanced list. Good luck! NYU and U Mich should be a sure thing. Actuarial Science is an excellent choice and you should look at Temple if its not too late. Nonetheless NYU seems like a great fit for you.

UMich is absolutely not a “sure thing” for most OOS students. Berkeley is a reach as well.

Get your test scores up a little, and then I think you have a solid chance of getting into your reach schools! Good luck!
