Chance Me

Hi, I am applying as a computer science/computer engineering major and these are my stats.

SAT 1: 1370 (going to retake in August for a better score)
SAT 2’s: Math 2:760 Physics: 670
UC capped GPA (10-11): 4.21
Fully weighted (9-11): 4.13
UW: 3.93
Class Rank: top 10 percent

EC’s:
Played high school soccer and club soccer throughout 9-11 grade. As a team we were able to rank top 10 in nation.
Robotics Club
Cyberpatriot- Gold Division Team
Interact Club
CSF
Soccer Referee

Here are the schools I am applying to:
UCI, UCD, UCSD, UCSC, UCLA, SJSU, USC, Purdue, Texas A&M, Both Cal Poly’s, UT Austin

Thanks.

SAT needs to be bumped up for UCSD/SLO and UCLA. Your GPA is on target for the UC’s/USC and the Cal Polys.

CPP: Safety
UCSC: Low Match
UCI/UCD: Match
UCSD: High Match
SLO: Low Reach
USC/UCLA: Reach

Best of luck

Thanks for the input. Also, do you have any idea how competitive SJSU is for computer science/computer engineering. Will it be a safety or match for me?

@Gumbymom

SJSU CS should be a Match.
CE would be a Safety.

CS is the most competitive major at SJSU.
Here are the EI thresholds from this year.

@Gumbymom Update. I just got a 1490 on my sat. How much would that change my chances. Thanks for your help.

I think that your SAT should make all the schools on your list possible. Congratulations and best of luck.
