Chance me!

I’m a rising junior and am curious about what my chances might be at these schools:
Barnard - ED
NYU
Wellesley
Georgetown
UPenn

ACT 33 - 29 M 33 Sci 35 R 34 W, 9/12 on essay
SAT New 1480 - 740 M 740 R, 16/24 on essay
APWH 4 AP Psych 5 (10th) APUSH 5 APELC 5 (11th)

Senior Schedule: AP Lit, AP Spanish, AP Physics, AP US Gov, AP Calc AB, Sociology, the 1960s, Business Law

EC: Junior Volunteer with local org similar to Girl Scouts 9th &10th, GSA PR Officer 11th (improved the club during my time as PRO), elected Secretary for upcoming year, Peer Tutor 11th-present, NHS Historian May-Present, Politics writer for magazine Feb-Present, Internship with NYC Council Campaign July-Aug, Advisory Board member for online publication July-Present, will soon begin to volunteer with local Democratic committee, will be inducted into Foreign Language Honor Society
Award for excellence in APUSH, Same award for Spanish 4 Honors, National Hispanic Scholar as per CB’s NHRP, AP Scholar with Honor
Demo: White Hispanic, middle class, first generation American, first gen. high school graduate/college attendant, suburban school in NY
My essay is going to be a more refined and personal version of an already published article that I wrote about my hair and my hair journey - I am going to add how I believe it is central to my indentity.
My first letter of recommendation will be from my APUSH teacher; I got a 5 on the AP, actively enjoyed and participated in the class, and this teacher chose me for the award for excellence in the course from about 80 other students. This was my favorite course so far. I will have him again as a teacher for the 1960s class he teaches.
My other teacher rec will likely be from my 11th grade physics teacher. I’m not a “Science person” but this teacher somehow taught me to a 95 on the physics regents. My quarterly grades were between 90 and 96. I went to his extra help after school more often than not and we often talked about things other than the class (which I still enjoyed despite that science is again not my thing) I think he actually likes me as a student and it’s very like that I will have him again this year for AP Physics.
My counselor rec will be decent. My counselor and I dont have a very close relationship but he is very complimentary of me and I’ve volunteered for his club a couple of times.
I intend to double major in Political Science & Econ and minor in Spanish/Latin American studies.

Let me know what you think of my chances for these schools, and if you are also applying to any of them!

Also feel free to post all of your wonderful ~credentials~ here so that you can be chanced!

I just realized that I forgot to include my GPA which is a 3.9/4 or 96.292/100 unweighted.

I think you sound like a pretty good fit for Barnard! Of course since the acceptance rate is pretty low sometimes it’s impossible to know, but I think you have a good shot at least. Barnard’s a pretty awesome school too; I’d definitely apply there if I were a girl haha, but for now I’m applying to Columbia ED instead!

I agree that Bernard would be a great place to apply to! Your achievements are outstanding and you should apply to all of these schools! NHRP gets you a lot of scholarships through schools too though. I’ll post a few down below, they may be too low of a standard for your achievements, but some may be worth checking out. I’ll put “****” besides the ones I think you may want to check out as back up schools, having solid back-up schools with major scholarships would be nice! Take it from a senior who is scrambling to finish applications. The info is for class of 2018, but I anticipate most will be available to you as well.
