I graduated May 2017, but I’m taking a gap year to work and grow up. I was 16 when I graduated because I skipped a grade. I would enter college around August 2018.

I just wrapped up a summer internship with Lockheed Martin, and I’m working remotely as a full-stack web developer (I’ve been coding for more than 5 years). I’m also starting a band despite being a pretty mediocre guitarist imo.

Chance me? Thanks.

UC GPA? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Did you graduate early due to exhausting your HS courses? You would have been better off graduating on time and boosting your GPA. You have great test scores and some really focused EC’s. GPA will be an issue.

There were some neat indentations to make things easier to read, but I guess they’re gone. Here’s my stuff again but with better formatting.

@Gumbymom Here’s what I got for UC GPA:

Unweighted: 3.04
Weighted: 3.67
Weighted and Capped: 3.21

I did all 4 years of high school. It’s just that I skipped kindergarten.

You have excellent HS course rigor, test scores, great hands on work experience but GPA and HS transcript are really important to colleges. How you do in your courses over a 4 year period is a better reflection on your academic capabilities and its going to hurt your chances at many of the schools on your list. Sacrificing GPA to take a bunch of AP classes I feel is a bad strategy. The grades you get in the AP classes are more important then the scores on the tests. You would have been better off taking half the amount of AP classes and getting A’s in all.

I am not familiar with many of the schools on your list and most of the top schools reject applicants with perfect grades, test scores, unique EC’s etc…, so make sure you have a few solid safety schools on your list. You need to hope that these schools are willing yo look beyond your mediocre academic performance.
UCB/Harvey Mudd/Stanford should be considered Reach schools based on what you have posted.

Best of luck

@Gumbymom Thanks for your advice
