Chance Me

Sorry for posting another Chance Me Thread, but I submitted my App a few weeks ago and Washington University in St. Louis is one of my top choices/reaches so any input that would either calm my mind (or put me on edge) would be greatly appreciated!

UW GPA: 3.97
SAT: Composite: 1490, Math: 770, Reading: 720
APs: World History (4), US History (5), Language & Comp. (5), Biology (5), Envi. Science (5), Calc AB (3), US Government and Politics, Literature & Comp., Chemistry, Physics 2, & Calc BC
Essay: I feel that it was pretty good, its about one of my major volunteering opportunities and a massive research project which changed my thinking, but then at Boy’s State I did the opposite of what I should’ve regarding a bill I wrote and how that has made me recognize what I must do regarding the issue and how I can fix the damage I’ve done.
Extracurriculars: (Activities Section on Common App)

  • Local Internship at Audubon Center
  • Volunteered at Fish Hatchery for 5 years

  • Just had my interview, which I felt went good. I really liked the interviewer and her answers to my questions really made me want to go there

THANKS!

Low reach in my opinion. SAT is closer to the 25% based on this year’s class range (1460-1570) although the range should take into account the old 2400 SAT concorded to the new SAT.

AP scores are pretty good although the Calc AB score could be better.

ECs are not bad-looks like you’re pretty active.

The interview is a good sign although WashU does prefer that students visit. Potential major?

Also a cousin may not count as a direct legacy.

Thank you Hamurtle. Also, I didn’t send my Calc AB score and I plan to study Bio with a Pre-med path although I here a ton of people start out as that.
