Hey Guys. I slacked off so hard sophomore and junior year. I have a 3.45 UC GPA and 3.76WGPA. I also have a 1220 SAT
(540RW, 680M, 6+6+6=18Essay). I know all these stats are horrific, but I am expecting a 4.3-4.5 GPA this semester.

I have so many credits. Took full schedule freshman, sophomore, and senior year.
I am first generation
My PIQ’s are alright
Trying to major in Business / Communication / Film
Took Algebra 1 in 8th Grade. Passed with A.
3.45UC GPA but expecting 4.3 - 4.5 senior year first semester

My dream school is UC Santa Cruz. Is there a chance for me to be admitted?

Your chances are okay. I’d say it’s 50/50. But I’m only saying this based on people I know who got accepted last year + statistics I’ve seen. I’m applying too, and my dream school is also UCSC. The volunteering isn’t really there, but your sports are pretty impressive. Your essays should really be good to get you in. If they’re not, then your chances are somewhat low.

Do you mean you were in AVID for 2 years? You said hours…

Also I think you have a good chance for UCSC

Oh yeah I meant 2 years. My bad. My school only allows 3 AP/Honors max sophomore - senior year. No exceptions. Also, when it says girls jv/varsity, I meant that I helped managed for them. But oh well. I guess I’ll see in March :). Thanks guys for your opinions. More opinions will be appreciated :slight_smile: Thanks again.

If you could get your SAT Scores to 1450+, it will be a straight YES according to your current background. For now, I think you have about 50% of chances.

Sadly I can’t take the SAT anymore because yesterday was the last day for seniors. Oh I also made First Team All City in for volleyball my junior year, does that mean anything?
