background info: the main reason my gpa is this low is because of my math classes. I got C’s in them and that really pulled my gpa down. All my other classes are A’s and B’s. My gpa would be a 3.7 without my math classes.

@Scientist98 What major? Tell me and I will give you constructive criticism :slight_smile:

@redwall3000 Psychology

@Scientist98 I can’t offer any helpful advice regarding your decision but wanted to let you know not to fret about the lack of responses. Seems a lot of people avoid chance me threads and after reading the below link I kind of understand why. Wish I’d read it before creating my own. 28 views and still crickets :stuck_out_tongue: Good luck with getting accepted!

@heavenlyflower Thank you so much!!

@Scientist98
Reaches: Duke, UW at Seattle
Target: The rest
Safety: Any of the UTs

Overall, your application is very strong, especially with your ECs. However, most of your ECs don’t seem to be gauged towards psychology, so that may hinder your app. As for your stats, they are reasonable, although I don’t know what a 4.9/6 converts to on a 5.0 scale. Also, maybe retake the SAT to get higher points, but it is up to you.

Hope this helps!

a 4.9/6.0 is roughly a 4.3/5

@redwall3000 Cornell and U Chicago are targets??

@Scientist98 RIP, i didn’t consider them. All Ivies and UChicago are always reaches, no matter who you are.

You are a competitive applicant. Your stats and ECs are great. Write good essays and you could get accepted to any of these schools, especially if you apply ED and get amazing letters of recommendations
