Only going into my junior year this coming August. Not here for anything official, but just want any advice or comments. I know junior year will probably be the most formative.
Stats:
Demographic: Asian male, upper middle class
Unweighted: 4.0
Weighted: 4.111 (took two APs as a sophomore)
Rank: 2/400+
SAT: 1560 (first sitting) (PSAT 1490)
Taking SAT World/ACT soon.
Junior Year Courses: (no AP English/Science classes at school)
- Two IB sciences
- IB Literature
- IB Spanish
- APUSH and AP Calc BC
(continuing both IB sciences/literature/spanish + AP gov/econ + AP stats for senior year)
Extracurriculars: (being kinda vague here)
- Key Club (president for next year)
- NHS
- local youth court program (not sure if I should continue)
- tutoring (unpaid + at least 5 students, SAT/ACT/CALC/broad subjects)
- bowling
- tennis/riflery (not as important, only for 2 years likely)
- clothing business (start-up)
- DDF (only one year), Mock Trial (plan for 3 years total)
- likely will do two years of an internship/mentorship
Awards: (rather lacking)
- school orchestra, varsity letter (only two years)
- district-wide language competition (3rd in my level/competition)
Undecided about what to major in, just need advice on extracurriculars/awards and anything in general.
