You’ll almost definitely get in and you qualify for a full tuition scholarship as well. If your weighted gpa is a 3.85 or higher, you’ll also be able to join the honors college if that’s something you’re interested in. Feel free to message me if you have any questions about Auburn! I’ll be a freshman this fall.
I’d say your chances are very good, and competitive for scholarships as well. They recommend applying by Nov 15 if you want to receive scholarship consideration, and you need fo fill out the actual scholarship form in AUSOM by Dec 1. Since admissions are rolling, don’t wait past that - I heard even students with good stats were waitlisted last year if they applied near the Jan 15 deadline. Also, check out the Auburn bands website! Don’t know if you have marching band experience since you were homeschooled, but the marching band is great fun (they do march piccolos, not flutes). Or there are various levels of concert bands as well, some by audition and some not.
Thank you so much! The auburn deadlines are kinda different from other schools I’m considering it got confusing. I do have marching band experience but its been awhile, do you know anything about their tryouts?
@cassmarie, sorry, I don’t know current info on tryouts, but it should be on the Auburn bands website. Good luck and War Eagle!
Coming from New Jersey, my son flew down with intent to visit Clemson and planned to stop by Auburn for the “heck of it.” He wound up not liking Clemson, but loved Auburn, especially the Mechanical Engineering department. What do you think his chances are of receiving the heritage Scholarship? He comes from a competitive HS with a significantly upward trending UW GPA of 3.42 (3.85 Jr yr) and a W GPA of 3.92. His ACT is a 32. Do they look at his weighted GPA?
Heritage Scholarship
Requires a 31-32 ACT or equivalent SAT score and a minimum 3.5 high school GPA for consideration.
Awarded at $52,000 over four years ($13,000 per year).
my friend got in engineering in 2018 with ACT 29
