I don’t know too much about BC but your application looks competitive for schools at that level. One thing to think about is that BC is catholic… are you? If so, that can definitely help your app. Overall, I think you have a pretty good chance though.

This has not been the case at BC.
Did something change?

honestly. You sound like a great student. You are a solid candidate wherever you choose.

And these chance threads amount to a waste of time.

But I know a lot of kids are nervous. So I’ll play along for you.

but I do not work at bc in admissions and do not know anything other my personal observations. Experience with friends and others this past year and knowing their profile and results and the data

I would chance you at the admit rate for the more selective schools. Last year at bc 27%

With your high gpa and great but slightly below average act for for 2018 my guess would be 3 out of ten with your profile with a great application and ecs etc get in. 2 or 4 waitlisted and the other 4 are declined.

Good luck and enjoy the summer.

I think that you are a strong candidate for admission to BC. Your ACT is strong in math 35, which matches well with your intended double major of accounting & finance.

Important to know is that most states now require an extra year of college credits as a CPA licensing requirement. Many accomplish this by getting a masters degree in accounting or finance.

This is a great combination of majors for employment purposes !

@publisher is correct. And I too like the combo. CSOM last year in my circle had mixed to not great results with your profile as I mentioned. But you are geographically more diverse than the group of kids I know locally. And I didn’t read a word of anyone’s aps and their base case was what I was told. I don’t know if it was accurate or not.

I agree that you are a solid candidate as I mentioned. But please don’t confuse that with expectation of admission. It should be measured. And also look at the results threads and the profiles of the student themselves. It will give you a good idea. And surprising at some of the high stats and really solid students were left without a spot.

As privatebanker noted, the past BC results threads show some with strong academic profiles who did not get accepted. It also shows many with weaker academic profiles who did get accepted.

In many respects, your academic profile is used to determine “if and how well you can handle the workload”. Once that’s established, they’ll then move on the more important aspects of your application.

If you’re interested in BC, definitely do apply. You have respectable stats in your opening post. But remember, no one can tell you if you’ll get accepted or not.
