Fantastic recc from math club advisor (he told me he would reccomend me for district math award senior year when i was just a freshman)
Excellent recc from physics teacher/quiz bowl coach.
Good - Very Good recc from either english honors teacher or history teacher.

Other info ~ Sister went to swarthmore.
Chinese male from middle class family in a sub par california public school (only 1 HYPSM produced in 5 years)

Not sure what college I want to go to. Any ideas for safety/reach/whatever?

Looks like a pretty solid application to me.

With those stats you can go almost anywhere. Ivys aren't out of the question but your EC's aren't "outstanding" so I don't know about those. Your stats are a match for some very good universities depending on what you want to go into (Duke, Vanderbilt, UCLA...etc.) Nice stats and good luck!

Haha thanks. My family follows the Chinese mentality of "B = failure."

bump bump bump.

hmmm. your stats remind me...of mine. good math ec's but kinda low on the rest. i think Caltech would be good for you, cuz its a very challenging environment, and they dont care TOO much about ec's.

Azaz:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match
UCI/UCD/UCSB: Safety
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Super Safety
