Major:
not really sure yet, thinking either education or communications (although I am not sure, and I do realize that some of these colleges listed do not have both majors)

Looking at:
Northeastern***
Marist
UVM (my brother goes there)
Umass amherst (cousin goes there, if that helps?)
Fordham
Emerson
Penn State
University of Delaware
Sarah Lawrence
Loyola
Goucher
American

Right now Northeastern is my top choice. (and I haven't visited all of these schools yet, but I really really liked Northeastern). What do I have to get on the SATs to make Northeastern closer to a match than a reach? Is there anything else I can do to increase my chances?

Also I know because of my GPA most of these schools are going to be in the reach category. Does anyone have any suggestions for safety schools?

Thanks in advance
