chance me.

Here are my stats:

ACT: 32 (35R/35E/30M/29S) I've taken it 3 times, and all three times I got a 32. I think it's just fate haha although I might take the test again in the fall if I feel like it I can do better.

SAT: N/A (might take it this fall)

SAT IIs: Taking Bio (expecting 750+), Latin (expecting 700ish), possibly English Lit (considering my ACT reading/english scores, 700+)

APs: Got a 4 on US History last year, expecting a 5 for Bio, 4/5 for Gov't, 4/5 for Latin-Vergil.

Next year's schedule: AP English Language, AP Latin Lit, AP Psychology, AP Calc AB (math is not my forte! haha), AP Chem.

General:
I'm currently a Junior
Female
South Asian
Go to a large public high school in IL
First generation to attend college in USA

Academics:
GPA: UW= 3.8, W=4.3
Rank: 40/800 (will go up after this semester is over)
Expecting pretty good recommendations.

After-school activities:

Amnesty International
Years 9, 10, 11, (12). Secretary during Soph. year, hoping for another leadership position during 12.
Very devoted to this club, have helped out with tons of fundraisers and awareness activities.

Key Club
Years 9, 10, 11, (12). VP for next year (we just held elections!)
Done a lot of volunteering in the community with it, as well as organizing benefits and fundraisers.

National Honor Society
Not really a big deal, but yeah, I'm in it.

Drama Club / Theater
Years 11, (12)
Just recently got involved in this, found a real interest for all of the technical work that happens backstage and have helped out for 2 productions this year, hopefully will be a crew-head next year.

Latin Club
Years 9, 10, 11, (12)
Done volunteering in the community, gone to 3 state IJCL conventions, 1 national convention, won several art/academic awards. Along with this club: Latin Honor Society 11, (12). Very similar to NHS.

The Blueprint
11, (12)
Online newsmagazine founded by me and my friend. We have a lot of support from both staff and students, and hopefully will get the website up and running this summer! We're both really passionate about writing and never had time to take the journalism class (which was not highly recommended, anyways) at our school, so we just decided to start our own newsmagazine by students, for students! I'm really excited about this and hopefully everything works out!!

Volunteer Hours / Work
I've got probably 60 or so volunteer hours outside of my clubs
Foreign language tutor
Regular volunteer at the local library
Planning on volunteering at the hospital this summer
Getting a part-time job at Borders this summer/hopefully working senior year (15-20 hrs per week)

What are my chances of making it in?

21.6666667% chance...If the Blueprint is a success, perhaps a little higher

Hmm... difficult to say, but not really leaning on the strong side. You might not want to take the ACT again, and try the SAT instead. I think taking the test more than 3 times is too much. Unless you apply early, your rank and ethnicity will hurt you. And if IL falls into the NE states, your demographics will hurt you as well. If you can pull off those SAT II scores (or even if they are a little lower) you should be fine. GPA is ok too. The only major thing is that while you a lot of ECs, none of them seem particularly strong. You might be able to make a bid with Latin Club, you seem more involved with it. You better write killer essays. You need to make yourself stand out somehow.
