Kimarie, I think your chances for Williams are reasonably good, but first, I'd like to caution you about ED and financial aid. Williams, along with most selective East Coast schools, does not grant merit aid. Their need based financial aid is generous, but be aware that if you apply ED you won't be able to compare offers from other colleges and thus negotiate. So, please be sure that you've talked over your family's financial position with your parents before you go the ED route.

Williams likes overseas Americans, especially those who have lived in unusual or politically significant countries. I'd put the Czech Republic in that category. They get kids with global experience, but without the visa and language issues. You should make sure that you use your essays and recommendations to communicate what living abroad, especially in a military context, and being exposed to different cultures has meant to you. Most importantly, you need to convey what you'll be able to contribute to the campus community because of your life experience.

Williams also likes athletes. If you would be willing or able to compete on a varsity level contact the coach now. If not, they still like physically active kids.

Have you visited? Demonstrated interest is also a plus.

Good luck and let us know how you do.
