Chance Me!

I go to a public HS, thought of as a pretty good one
GPA: 3.5 UW (don't know how to calculate weighted but will if you tell me how)
SAT: 2200
School doesn't rank

ECs:
-Varsity Tennis
-Volunteering at local hospital (100+ hours)
-Tutor
-Work experience in family business
- Other small volunteering like Habitat for Humanity and helped on friend's eagle projects for boy scouts

Can you please tell me some safties, matches, and reaches? I woud like to major in either science (bio probably) or finance.

Try JHU. It's possible.

Thanks. Well I plan to apply prett much everywhere, because by school has some pretty shocking stats of low GPAs still getting acceptances to places. All it says is GPA and SAT but there is a 3.4 and a bunch of 3.6s that got into Yale/ U Penn, so I will apply for fun. Kinda just looking for what to expect though.

They could be URM, legacy, or athletes.

for my school UW is calculated by:
(number of weighted class/number of classes) + normal GPA

number of classes would be each semester class in that year.

unlikely, but worth trying: HYP</p>

Reach: duke, brown, columbia, cornell, washu, etc.

match: jhu, BC

safety: whatever you want

^^
Basically apply to your public schools as your safeties. Add a few matches such as Umich and the like. I would then load up on reaches.

What is a good slight reach to do ED on?

bump......

Could I get into NYU stern?

NYU Stern: REJECT

Ok...well then what univesity could I get into that has a good business (finance) program?

Do you think I can transfer to Wharton at UPenn if I get a 4.0 at like UMich?
