I dont speak for admissions nor do I work at Fordham. I have a kid at Fordham.

I would say this, your overall SAT is okay (out of a 1600 score), but I would say your reading and writing scores are a tad low…that math score is super. Fordham is a school that has a stringent core requirement that includes many liberal arts classes that require a great deal of reading and writing. Its an old fashioned school in that sense. If you get in, you may want to brush up on your writing ability and your reading comprehension. Fordham is also a school known for grade deflation, compared to some of these fluffy schools that bolster kids in high school, and compared to some colleges that are hard to get into, but are country clubs once you get there. You will not be coddled at Fordham. You will be challenged. Its a superb school that does a great job of educating its students and preparing them for adult life and the working world. If you are up to the challenge, then Fordham is for you.

Its a beautiful campus with a tight nit student body. The professors are wonderful, but they are not going to babysit you.

If you party, you will fail and be removed. It has happened in my kid’s dorm already this semester.

I wish you luck.
