i say ur in. everything looks great except test scores, and even those arent that bad, as theyre bareley below the accepted average. the ECs are very good and BC puts that very high on their list.

you never know though, the apps (at least EA) were apaprently up 16 percent this year.

Dear cgord13 : Your GPA is strong at 3.7, but you show only one AP course in your curriculum. You will be competing against students who have half-a-dozen and more advanced placement courses under their belts at application time. Your SAT two-way at 1300 is slightly below the midpoint - as is your three-way exam score in the 1900s. Your SAT II scores while solid in the low 600 range are not overly eye-catching.

Your three season athletic status and four year varsity role is interesting - a by-product of the smaller school setting, but the point is that you were part of your teams throughout your High School career demonstrating commitment and achievement. Are you pursuing anything in terms of collegiate sports?

Nice to see your work and volunteerism history. As you have seen with other chance-me threads, your clubs/activities are similar to many other considering the BC path.

Honestly, cgord13, you are right on the bubble of BC admissions - slightly below the midpoint in some areas and in the pool along with tens of thousands of applications seeking differentiation. (I wish you had some music or other arts offering in your resume.) If BC offers 7000 applications admission from a pool of 28000, you need to be in the top 25% of appealing applications. I am just not sure you are there.

But ... Your complete sports experience keeps drawing my eye.

My guess is that the academics are going to press you in ways that your High School curriculum did not. This will be a stretch school for you and with that designation comes the need to raise your game academically.

Good luck with your application and let us know how you do.

Thanks for all your comments! I am being recruited in the NESCAC conference (little ivys) but my cousin goes to BC and I love the school and if I got accepted would consider not playing sports or possibly walking on or club. Hopefully my decision will be made for me one way or another!
