Ive heard back from some schools but I'm waiting for these... do you think i have a shot??

university of maryland-college park (applied before the priority deadline)
clemson university
university of delaware
boston college (yeah right. i probably shouldnt have applied)

public school
3.2 gpa (unweighted, my school doesnt give weighted)
1170/1600 SAT
1840/1400 SAT
26 ACTs (some of my subscores are as high as 30)
all college prep class w/ honors spanish 4, honors chemistry, AP Gov.
3 clubs i stuck with for 3 years
assistant layout editor for a fine arts magazine my junior year
my junior year i was also the athletics manager of my yearbook
this year i am the editor in chief and art director of the yearbook (award winning yearbook)
50 hours of community service (not for graduation)

i would say that out of your list your chances are greatest chance is clemson and maybe delaware.

we are from the nyc metro area and our s is headed to fsu. he had some really good choices (pittsburgh, indiana, wisconsin, arizona, penn state), but opted for fsu.

this year and next are unfortunately two of the most difficult years (because of population demographics) to apply to school. if you haven't considered fsu, you should. its an awesome campus and i think you might have a shot there as well.

clemson is supposed to be a grat campus and if you get accepted there, i would seriously consider it if it has the things you are looking for.

I saw your other post on miami (sorry you didn't get in). my son's friends applied there and only one out of five who applied got in. they all had higher stats then yours, so maybe miami just isn't the right fit.

don't forget about fsu. i think the deadline for the third admission cycle is coming up in february.

FSU will be tough, Jill. The average SAT for Fall is 1218 and FSU is under pressure to restrict undergraduate enrollment further, which will make averages rise all the more.

However, if you want to try, hurry and get your application submitted.

I'm not interested in FSU, I already got into my state school so even though i dont really want to go there, im going to college. Maryland is my favorite right now. Is that a reach for me?
